Found @ Sea solicited six creators to submit stories about beloved lost objects, and constructed natural found object sculptures dedicated to these items during this one-day event on August 7th, 2021. We held a beach cleanup on Jamaica Bay prior to the event, in order to help the environment as well as find interesting objects to add to our stories. and Participants came to view the sculptures and hear their stories, and then watch them wash away with the tide. The project was designed to be a collaborative storytelling event weaving a tale about found objects washed up at sea with the imagination of the collective led by our professional storyteller.
